Tabaimo created 250 illustrations for all 250 stories in the long novel ‘AKUNIN (Villain)’ which was written by Shuichi Yoshida, was serialized in “Asahi Shinbun” from March 24, 2006 to January 29, 2007.
In August 2007, an English translation of ‘Villain’.
A picture book compiling the all illustrations was published on July 7, 2010.
(Synopsis)
Why didn’t they meet each other earlier – a man murders a woman he met on a mobile website. Once again he goes on the run with another woman. What did they see in each other? The story is a drama of pure love between two people who are torn between the feelings of their families and friends who are left behind. This is a masterpiece of a full-length work that portrays the emotions of the various people involved in the background of a single incident with tranquil brushstrokes.
